Commit to Possibility

In Ephesians 3:20-21, Paul writes

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

What lies ahead for you in 2019?  In life?

The pessimists are right.  The glass is half-empty.  But the optimists are also right. The glass is half-full.  The way you see the world changes it, or to be more accurate, it changes the way you interact with it.    As the saying goes, perception is reality.  If you think you can, you’re probably right.  If you think you can’t, you’re probably right about that too.  Your expectations have a way of shaping everything around you.

We have so many things to learn, so many things to teach, so many people to serve, and so many helping hands to offer.  Today is as good a day as any to commit to possibility.

What is it you want to accomplish for God this year?  What about in your life?  Think big!  Set a goal that seems so insurmountable that you simply HAVE to rely on God to get it done.  As Paul wrote in Romans 8:31,

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

Now that you’ve set your goal, work to make it happen.  This is where most people get caught in a trap.  Every decision you make can get you closer to that goal, or farther away from it.  Every single one.  Lean on God, then make a choice.  Remember the words Paul writes in Philippians 4:13:

13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

If we trust in Him and do His will, there is nothing you can’t accomplish.
